As a B Corp, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. Achieving this certification is both a validation of our values and a promise to continue pushing the boundaries of what responsible, community-centered education and technology can be.

Reciprocity at the Center

OurWorlds builds curriculum in community—in true partnership with Indigenous knowledge holders, educators, and cultural practitioners. Every lesson we create, from Choctaw Code Talkers to Before There Were Borders, is rooted in reciprocity: we honor and uplift the knowledge shared with us, and we ensure that those who contribute are included in the value created. This includes revenue-share practices for knowledge bearers and collaborators, so that communities directly benefit from the curriculum and immersive experiences we build together.

Innovation With Accountability

We are committed to innovating in a way that keeps people and culture at the center. Through partnerships with organizations like Codefy, Agog, and Media Arts Center San Diego, we are working alongside Indigenous technologists, artists, and youth to advance immersive reality in a way that is ethical, community-driven, and future-forward. Our goal is not only to create cutting-edge immersive tools, but to expand who gets to imagine – as well as engineer – the future of this field.

A Bigger Story for the Next Generation

As we grow our library of standards-aligned K–12 curriculum, we hold a simple vision: To help students see the big picture story of who we are as a nation. We believe that when students learn an inclusive history, they gain a deeper, more connected understanding of the world and our place in it - guiding their decision-making as they ascend to become our next generation of citizens, thinkers, and leaders.

This, too, is aligned with B Corp thinking: that businesses should leave the world better than they found it.

What Comes Next

B Corp certification pushes us to keep evaluating and improving our practices – how we govern, how we partner, how we design our technology, and how we support the communities who entrust us with their knowledge. It is a marker of where we are today, and a challenge to keep reaching higher.
